Qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in December 1978 and became a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), U.K in 1983 Admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in January 1981 and also a fellow in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), U.K.
He started his accounting carrier in the Federal Ministry of Finance (Treasury Department) in 1969 where he served in the Federal Civil Service for about twelve years up till June 1981. Joined the Firm of Deloitte Haskins & Sells (Later Adetona Isichei & Co.) an International Firm of Chartered Accountants after his resignation from the Civil Service.
Mr Kareem is a taxation specialist and a seasoned tax trainer. Having lectured extensively on the subject of Taxation in various Accountancy Tuition Houses for years. He single handedly wrote taxation workbook for Mayo Associates Ltd. a seasoned tuition house which specialised in the training of accountancy students. He also participated in writing taxation manual for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
